What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Al Khan Beach is praised for its relaxing atmosphere, family-friendly facilities like swings and a play area, and beautiful sunset views, making it a great value with its affordable entry fee. However, some visitors have encountered issues with rude staff and safety concerns regarding jet skis, which can detract from the overall experience.
"This is one of those special places where you can truly relax, meditate, or enjoy quality time with your family. I still remember my first visit—it was during winter, and the air was cool and refreshing. The calm atmosphere left a lasting impression on me, and even now, it continues to bring me peace.
Unlike many other beaches, this spot isn’t too crowded, especially on regular days. However, expect a livelier scene during holidays when families and groups gather to celebrate and have fun.
If you're looking to unwind, think, or simply enjoy the sea breeze, I highly recommend visiting. Note: There’s a small entrance fee of 10 AED, but it’s well worth it for the experience"

"Al khan beach the perfect swimming getaway.!!
This beach has a lively vibe with plenty to do—swings by the shore, and lots of people soaking it all in. The view is beautiful, and there’s always something going on. It does get pretty crowded, so it’s not the quietest spot, but if you’re in the mood for a fun, social beach day, it’s a solid pick. Great for families or if you just want to be around some buzz."

"The beach itself is beautiful, but sadly, the overall experience was ruined by the behavior of the staff and the lack of safety and organization.
• The staff are extremely rude, aggressive, and unprofessional — the complete opposite of what you expect when visiting Sharjah.
• As a tourist, entry should be free, but staff continuously tried to charge me without clear explanation.
• I contacted the number provided on the sign via WhatsApp, as instructed, but received no response at all — very poor service.
• The staff clearly need urgent customer service training. They don’t accept card payments for umbrellas or sunbeds, which is very inconvenient.
• The none uniformed man responsible for the umbrellas was particularly rude and dismissive. After reading several other reviews, it’s clear my experience with him was not a one-off — he either needs replacing or serious retraining.
• The beach is overrun with Jet Skis, making it unsafe for swimming. One nearly hit me while I was in the water, and I had to get out immediately.
• The constant fumes from the Jet Skis caused my mother to have an asthma attack — completely unacceptable.
• There are no visible safety rules or regulations being enforced.
It’s a real shame because Al Khan Beach could be a top destination, but the management and staff are ruining it. I expected much better standards from a location under Sharjah Council. Immediate action is needed to fix this."
