What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the Waterfront Market Deira for its exceptional freshness, particularly in the seafood and meat sections, and its clean, well-organized environment. The 'catch-and-cook' dining experience is a major highlight. However, some find prices for produce to be on the higher side, and bargaining is essential for the best deals.
"One of the biggest food markets in Dubai — you’ll find everything here, from fresh vegetables and fruits to fish, meat, and all kinds of spices. It’s a great place for bulk shopping or just exploring local flavors.
You can get down at Abu Hail or Gold Souk Metro Station, then take a taxi to the market (it costs around AED 15). Very convenient and worth a visit!"

"As one of the biggest food markets in UAE, Waterfront is a must visit even if it's for the sheer novelty of the experience. From the fish market, to the vegetable market, to the dry fruits market... The variety of items available to buy is quite staggering, at very reasonable prices. And the quality is better than most chain supermarkets. Beware though, many shops are cash only.. Especially the fish market, where its 100% cash. We purchased some fish, dry fruits... Quality of the dry fruits was really excellent."

"Waterfront Market is a great place if you’re looking for fresh fish and vegetables, and I really appreciate how clean and well organized it is compared to many other markets. The variety is impressive and you can find almost everything in one place. However, I do feel the prices are on the higher side. You almost always need to bargain and even then, it can still end up being more expensive than a normal supermarket, which is not ideal. That said, if freshness and cleanliness are your top priorities, it’s worth a visit just be ready to negotiate."
