What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Al Ain Zoo is widely praised for its spacious, naturalistic enclosures and engaging animal encounters, particularly the giraffe feeding. Visitors appreciate the conservation efforts and educational aspects, making it a fantastic family day out. However, some note that certain animals can be elusive during peak heat, and the cost of optional extras like buggies can add up.
"I recently visited Al Ain Zoo and had a great time overall. The zoo is well-maintained, and there are plenty of diverse exhibits showcasing various animal species. The layout is spacious, making it easy to navigate and explore, and there are informative signs along the way to educate visitors about the animals.
The animal enclosures are large and designed to mimic natural habitats, which is great for the well-being of the animals. I particularly enjoyed the safari-style area, where you can see a variety of African wildlife.
However, I did notice that some animals were not present during my visit, which was a bit disappointing. It would have been nice to see a wider range of species, especially considering the zoo's reputation. That said, there was still enough to see and do to make the visit worthwhile.
Overall, it's a fantastic place for families and animal lovers, but it might be worth checking the current exhibits before you go, just in case any animals are temporarily absent"

With spacious enclosures, diverse species, and engaging activities like feeding giraffes and exploring the reptile house, it caters to all ages. The zoo emphasizes animal welfare and environmental awareness, making it a top choice for families and nature enthusiasts."

"The zoo is well organized but without a golf car it is very difficult to shift from one place to another, but they are changing for a car very high, so be ready to pay around 300 dirhams door the car. And the guide wasn't interesting. I can recommend visiting only when the weather is good so it's only 2-3 months, so you can do without the golf car, other days - no."
