"Best market in town"
Roger Pettersen
"The so-called "Green Bazaar". This indoor, two-story building is located in the city center. A lot of things are sold... I will put the emphasis on goods brought from abroad at reasonable prices, I mean various edible things. There are also some things, but not a large volume... Prices can be a little more expensive than, for example, at the "Drunken" Bazaar. On the second floor in the corner closer to the exit there is a good point with Italian and imported goods - I recommend it. In the photo I indicated ☝️ Thank you 🙏"

"Today we went to the market and… after 5 minutes we left because of the stench (
Where is the city sanitary and epidemiological service?
The stench is terrible, like a public toilet
The place where they sell meat is just tin
Closing such markets is a mockery of both buyers and sellers (poor people have to endure such ugliness for days"

Navigating the Green Bazaar: A Shopper's Guide
While the market aims to provide a variety of products, some shoppers note that the selection of local farm-produced goods can be limited. The fruits and vegetables available are often imported, and the choice of meat and dairy products is also not extensive. It's important for shoppers to be aware that prices here can sometimes be higher than at other local markets, so comparing options is recommended.
Key takeaway: The Green Bazaar is best for those seeking specific imported items. For a wide array of fresh, local produce or a more consistently hygienic experience, other markets might be preferable. Always check expiration dates on packaged goods and be prepared for potential sensory experiences due to the nature of a busy food market.
Hygiene and Visitor Experiences
These observations suggest that the market's infrastructure may be in need of an upgrade. Comments about the pavilion being cold and unsanitary, and the need for a complete renovation, are recurring themes. This has led some visitors to feel unimpressed and hesitant to make purchases.
For potential visitors, it's advisable to approach the market with awareness of these reported issues. While the market offers unique imported goods, being vigilant about food safety, checking expiration dates, and managing expectations regarding the overall environment is recommended.
