"The Arch of Freedom of the Ukrainian People stands in Kyiv as an unwavering testament to the indomitable spirit of a nation. In times when the essence of freedom is being tested, this monument resonates profoundly, reminding us of the precious liberties often taken for granted. There couldn't be a more fitting symbol in any other part of the world right now that captures such poignant sentiment. The two powerful figures uniting beneath the arch embody the hope that Ukraine, too, will soon reunite with its cherished freedom. My visits here were always marked by the breathtaking views and the aura of resilience that permeates the surroundings. It's a spot that inspires reflection, and I eagerly await the day when I can immerse in its ambiance once more. Much like how this monument stands for perseverance and unity, I've spent over two decades guiding individuals to discover their potential and unify body and mind. As a remote personal trainer and life coach, I believe in the transformative power of dedication and hope. Here's to the spirit of Kyiv and every individual journey towards freedom and fulfillment. 🌆🗽💪🏼🌍"

"Some really spectacular views here. The pedestrian bridge is very close, and it looks stunning at night. When I went during the evening, there was someone giving a live musical performance. Despite knowing zero Ukrainian or Russian, I still found it very enjoyable."

However, in recent years, particularly following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the monument's symbolism has dramatically shifted. In 2022, the Russian figure was removed, and the arch was officially renamed the 'Arch of Freedom of the Ukrainian People.' This transformation reflects Ukraine's strong assertion of its independence and its rejection of Russian influence.
This renaming and the removal of the Russian figure are powerful statements about national identity and sovereignty. The arch now stands as a testament to the Ukrainian people's resilience, their fight for freedom, and their unwavering spirit in the face of adversity.
