NEW IMMERSIVE EXHIBITION AT MFAH ✨ MFAH’s newest exhibition is so mesmerizing—this is your sign to check it out! “Floating World: A.A.Murakami” is the first U.S. museum show from the Tokyo- and London-based artist duo A.A.Murakami, and it’s like stepping into a dreamy sci-fi nature world. Think: bubble-like clouds that float and dissolve into mist, fog rings pulsing from a central tower, and flick...

Overall, it's considered a must-visit for its cultural richness and innovative spirit. Reddit

"Fabulous! Almost a unique place in the whole world where you can find a beautiful original work of art without an author (yep, not by anonymous or unnamed author, but without an author!). Go to the ground floor, at the ticket office turn left and at the very end of the corridor, right after the dressing room you'll see it. A door with an inscription and a picture on it. The inscription says "Туалетные комнаты" (Toilet rooms), but the picture... picture represents the nowadays - the aim and the path the humanity is following during the century - gender equality. A man and a woman, standing next to each other. They're beautiful, equally tall, both implemented with a straight shape style. They look in the same direction, identifying their course - the same, the equal for both, as are they in front of you. Surrounded by the thin black line, living in a common, shared environment. But also a thin, almost invisible line separates them, preventing them from holding each other's hands - multiple meanings are hidden in this line. From a first look, we understand that they're equal, but still, not completely, there are still issues to fight against, ideas to fight for. But after giving it a deeper look we understand that the idea of equality itself would disappear after erasing all the, even thinnest borders away - each of the genders represented by the figures deserves its own recognition. It's genius that this meaning of the painting on the entering doors will be revealed later in the next rooms, after the actual doors. Enter the next room, please. Yes, now you see another two doors, but this time they are marked by two, separate pictures hanging pretty far away from each other, as the doors also located on some distance one from another. They're dressed in Rococo style, looking in different directions, standing with theirs back to each other, living each in its own "thin black" environment - the age of revolutions is coming and soon they'll begin turning left, approaching each other, until became equal. Even the ceiling in this room indicates - we're in the middle, in the middle of ages, in the middle of the way. Proceed to go further. Open the door, take a step and enter the 3rd, last (actually not really ;)) hall. White tiles on the floor, blue tiles on walls, after crossing the corridor - quite spacious, but at the same time quite empty room. You're not mistaken - it's a Soviet epoch. No pictures, no genders, no equality, no Sex (joke :)). Just a single gender which is called "proletarians", "workers". Total utopic socialism, virtual gender equitability "of Shredinger", when genders exist and equality exist, but at the same time, they don't. Do you remember the very first door, the main entrance? Maybe, this is why that thin line is needed, maybe here, in the 3rd room we see how it is important and what happens when it's thrown away. Finally - a toilet bowl. Symbolic, isn't it? Do your stuff and go back passing across already visited rooms. Life and history are cyclic and you began from the place you finished. History is cyclic but chaotic - notice that the order of the rooms doesn't follow the historical epochs appearing. Isn't that also symbolic?
The work of art is truly genius, impressive, mindblowing, philosophical, informative, and all of this you get for free (and even with some benefit if was needed)!

Ahh, almost forgotten - also there are two other floors with 4 expos where for a fair price of 20UAH per each + 50UAH for photographing pass (so 0.7EUR and 1.7EUR respectively) you can find works of famous artists which are represented in great museums of Vienna, Saint Petersburg, french Louver and other. Definitely worth visiting as well."
