What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Çal Cave is widely praised for its impressive natural beauty, particularly its powerful waterfall and vast limestone formations. Visitors appreciate the well-maintained walkways and the unique experience of exploring underground. While the cave can be wet, this is often seen as part of the adventure. Some visitors note a lack of on-site information about the cave's geology.
"The cave is great and definitely worth visiting. The road up to it is better than others we’ve seen in this region, so a good drive. It’s not as narrow and it’s properly maintained.
The cave entrance was 87.5 lira per person and we were able to pay by card.
It’s colder inside, but not as cold as other caves. Still, come prepared and wear shoes that hold the ankle as there are some uneven surfaces and some areas where the water makes it slippery.
Great experience, no issues with being in the cave for longer (no pressure differences to make one sleepy), nice walkways that allowed to explore the cave and don’t forget to look up. It’s an amazing drapery of shapes. Totally worth it! The photos don’t really do it justice…
Also there is a small cafe above, and lots of vendors around with crepes and corn. Have some cash to enjoy the snacks after!"

"A beautiful place and the way to it is very enjoyable. When you climb up, you will find the cloud at the top... Inside the cave, there is a long walkway... The entrance fee is 85 liras per person."

"In April-March, Çal Cave was truly an unforgettable experience! As we approached the entrance, we were met with a stunning waterfall that was flowing powerfully. The water pressure was quite high, making it feel like nature was putting on a show for us!
Due to recent rainfall and the melting snow from the mountains, the waterfall was impressive, and navigating through it was a bit of a challenge. We ended up completely soaked—our shoes and clothes were drenched! But it just added to the thrill of the adventure.
If you're planning to visit, make sure to wear waterproof clothing and sturdy footwear, and be ready for a fun and wet experience! This place is a true gem, and you will definitely enjoy your visit.
I hope this information helps you make the most of your visit. Enjoy every moment!"
