What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Turunc Market is a small, primarily Monday market known for its fresh produce and a few stalls selling clothing and trinkets. While some find it underwhelming compared to larger bazaars, the scenic boat taxi ride to get there is a definite highlight. Visitors appreciate the quality of the fruits and vegetables, but advise managing expectations regarding the market's size and the accuracy of online maps.
"Very very small, doesn’t deserve to come for this market from other cities. few stalls selling trinkets, clothing, fruits, spisies and nuts. The town's shops are same as in any other place.
Just follow the signs, google location is wrong

"Took the taxi boat from Ichmeler as it's a lovely trip and really scenic.
The market itself is basically a large shed now with stalls selling overpriced trinkets clothing etc. With a vegetable market undercover next to it.
It's a nightmare for you to find as Google Maps tries to take you to a store of the same name.
Did manage to get a dodgy handbag for my wife which after some haggling was the same price you could get it for elsewhere.
I've since been told that the market has been reduced in size to get holidaymakers to spend more time and money in the town's shops."
