What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Atatürk Mansion for its well-preserved state, beautiful architecture, and tranquil gardens. It offers a fascinating glimpse into history and the lifestyle of a bygone era. Some note that while good for photos, the visit is relatively brief, and there's a small fee for bathroom use.
"A very well preserved mansion that belonged to a Greek (Ottoman back then) banker and used as his summer house. After the population exchange in 1923 he was forced to leave behind his properties (as did thousands of other Greeks) and return back to Greece. The property was gifted to Ataturk 1 year later by the people of Trabzon as he visited it and liked it a lot.
The mansion itself is very beautiful and a sign of prosperity of the people back then. Both the interior and exterior are absolutely beautiful and worth visiting if you want to get a glimpse of how rich people lived back then. You can pay by card at the entrance."
