What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Heritage Village Djerba for its authentic representation of Djerbian history and architecture, with the adjacent Crocodile Farm being a unique highlight. The charming village streets and friendly staff are frequently mentioned positives. However, some reviewers note a lack of detailed information or guiding elements within the village exhibits.
"Wonderful place combining Sjerba's history, architekcture and wildlife of various reptiles. Crocodile Farm was a unique experience."
Eileenka Táborská
"A modest, but nice museum-village that shows you some of the cultural history of Djerba and Berber legacy in general. Judged separately from the larger crocodile farm, the village offers a few properly (re)built exhibits and buildings that give you a good idea of what life was back then (and still is for some people). What is missing however are some simple information plackets and/or other guiding elements that would really help visitors appreciate the exhibits with the respect that they deserve. Well worth a visit, especially in combination with the crocodile farm."
Lars
"This little charming place is integrated into a reconstituted Djerbian village: streets and alleys, porches and archways, covered passages, small shaded places and coffee terraces. It makes you remember the typical urbanity of Djerba, such an unforgettable place!"
