What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Macqueripe Bay is lauded as one of Trinidad's most scenic beaches, offering breathtaking views and clear waters perfect for swimming and snorkeling. While the pebbly shore and steep access path present minor challenges, visitors appreciate the tranquil atmosphere, abundant marine life, and historical remnants. It's a well-rounded destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.
"Very beautiful bay. There are some long steps to walk down and the shore is pebbles rather than sand. So this means no sand castles. The shoreline is very small. However the view is amazing and fun to bathe/swim in. There is also people fishing on 🪨 rocks. It’s a very relaxing spot and there is paid parking for your vehicle. Overall it was a very enjoyable and relaxing experience for me, I went both during the weekend and weekday."

"Arguably, the most scenic beach in Trinidad, and definitely one of the most scenic in the entire twin island state of Trinidad and Tobago.
Like most of the best beaches in Trinidad (most on the North Coast), it doesn't make itself extremely easy to access, but the issue in this case is not the actual journey to the beach - it is a very easy, relatively flat drive/bike ride through the beautiful Tucker Valley in Chaguaramas (about 20 mins from Port of Spain proper without traffic and for some, perhaps very walkable) to the beach's main parking area.
The issue here is that the beach, located as it is on the North Coast, can only be accessed via a relatively steep downhill trek.
For some reason, the authorities haven't figured out how to make the pathway completely accessible, and instead have offered a solution consisting of a partial stairs, partial ramp-styled access which makes access for those with limited mobility more than a bit challenging.
Accessibility issues aside, however, once you arrive to the actual beach, the spectacular views of clear waters with gently rolling waves reflecting the emerald green colour of the heavily forested mountains above are, in a word, breathtaking."

"Really nice beach at the end of trucker valley rd. We visited Trinidad from Toronto and our family took us to the nice little beach on the west side of Trinidad. It was a really nice experience. We saw wild monkeys in the trees above which was really interesting.
