"Took the #10 jitney from Frederick st by the port to this beach (jitney driver recommended). The bus trip was 1.50 per person, I paid in USD and it took maybe 15 minutes. The beach was so peaceful, we were just about the only people there, a few other groups dotted up and down the area between the two resorts but it was quiet and serene! The water was crystal clear. We also took the jitney back, it was much more full in the afternoon, we waited about 20 minutes for one to come and stop. Our $3 cruise excursion was perfect! Highlight of our trip"

"A nice sandy public beach with a public restroom to take the family to swim while in Nassau. In addition to the bathroom there was also a small playground on the far east end of the park. There aren’t vendors approaching you with trinkets but there are a couple of tables set up selling drinks, pineapples, coconuts, hot dogs, and of course rentals like jet skis, chairs, and umbrellas. The chairs rent for $15 each or 2 for $20, the umbrellas are another $20 (at least from the guys I talked to on that particular day). It seemed reasonable price wise but I chose to lay on my towel in the shade of the pine trees that line the back of the beach area. I brought my snorkel and mask but it was too cool and windy the day I was there to try it out. There certainly wouldn’t have been anything to see snorkeling wise in front of the area where everyone is but maybe down to the far right hand side (east side) of the beach away from all the people and jet skis? Can’t vouch for it though. Despite it being a very windy day there were no waves as it’s in a protected cove. To get there from downtown I took the #10 public bus from Burger King for 1.25 (per person each way) and it took between 10 and 15 minutes. The bus is how the locals get around and it’s cheap but don’t expect it to be a tourist level of quality or cleanliness."
