What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Arawak Cay, or the Fish Fry, is celebrated for its incredibly fresh and authentic Bahamian seafood, particularly the conch salad, at prices much better than tourist spots. Visitors love the lively, local atmosphere and the vibrant energy, especially on weekends. However, some find it can be crowded and suggest it might be more suited for adults than families with young children.
"We were expecting more of an open market type of environment, kind of like food trucks but with stationary grills instead. It's really just a row of a ton of restaurants. But it really is the best food on the island, and at better prices than the fancy hotel restaurants or the ones downtown by the ships. Try Joey's for awesome red snapper and amazing drinks, and Frankie goes Bananas (but don't get the conch fritters there, no conch in them). But DONT MISS BRUNO'S. Best food anywhere on the island. The grilled conch stew was so filled with conch you couldn't even see the bowl. The conch fritters were filled with conch. And they have an AWESOME breakfast at the best deal on the island."

"This area is a small walkable street that has several restaurants to choose from. This is a party atmosphere. There were both locals and tourists here. We were with children and I do not think I would return with them. This is better for adults."

The casual, open-air setting enhances the authentic dining experience, making it a true taste of the islands.
