What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Cape Panwa's serene atmosphere and stunning ocean views, highlighting luxury resorts like Sri Panwa and Cape Panwa Hotel as exceptional. While some find it a bit remote, most appreciate the tranquility and beauty, with Baba Nest being a standout for sunset experiences. Transportation can be a consideration due to the hilly terrain.
"Lovely 5 night stay in this hotel, although we'd rate it more 4 star than the 5 advertised. Great clean rooms but lacking enough tea (no English breakfast tea) and coffee in the room. Bring your own if you're staying here or go to the 7/11. Surely 5 star would supply enough? The cost of the drinks is a problem if you're looking at Thailand prices for comparison. Every drink is charged a 10% service charge plus vat on top so we made a point of going out in the evenings. We missed the fact that it's a VERY steep hill into and back from the seafront area. We like walking but even we struggled with this. The courtesy bus is a godsend but we came to refer to it as the "old bone shaker"!! The staff were brilliant and friendly and the Top of the Reef restaurant was exceptional. We'll worth a visit for a special occasion meal. The hotel beach is stunning and one of the best and cleanest we've ever been to and would possibly return for this alone. Again, though, the Bamboo Bar is run by the hotel so do watch the prices!! The hotel is just lacking those final touches for what should be expected from a 5 star hotel. Having said that, we had a lovely stay and had some great experiences whilst there so would say it's worth a visit."

"In March 2025, 50 of our closest family and friends watched us get married at the Cape Panwa Hotel - and we had the time of our lives. We chose this resort because it combines luxury with that authentically Thai down-to-earth vibe. If you prefer western, modern and sleek it’s not for you but we loved the fact that it was rustic and charming. The food, drinks and views were absolutely amazing on the day. Big thank you to Aom, the venue coordinator, and her assistant for helping to make the day run so smoothly. We booked the panwa lodge for the bridal party accommodation and it was beautiful. Others stayed in the 2 bed villas and standard rooms and no one had a single complaint (or if they did they didn’t tell me). Breakfast was great and the staff were lovely and so accommodating. Cape Panwa will always hold a special place in our hearts and we can’t wait to come back. PS - if you’re thinking of getting married here, look up the port schedules on the dates you’re considering. We were so happy we did because we avoided days when big cruise ships would be docking - that happens frequently and can spoil the horizon view."

"Loved our break here! Especially loved our 2 bed villa with private pool, for a chill during the morning and into the afternoon. The lady looking after our room did a great job of keeping it clean and fresh. She was also great fun and generally lovely. Awesome at folding our towel into an Elephant! :-)
After breakfast (we did B&B, which I’d recommend) and some morning pool time, we’d head down to the private beach with a short trip in the cable car (literally 2 mins) to hang out in the afternoon and enjoy the amazing views. Whilst there, we’d grab some good food and enjoy a bucket of cold beer or some cocktails in the Bamboo Beach Bar, where the lovely Sandy, Hazel and team looked after us with their great service and constant smiles. In the evening, the Panwa House restaurant on the beach is lovely and a must do to treat yourself. You can also watch the EPL footie in the Lighthouse Bar if wanting to keep up with your team. We unfortunately didn’t get to try the Italian restaurant that was on site.
All in all a great, chill, fun break. We stayed 3 night as we were moving around Phuket, but really needed a few more - next time!
Thank you for your great hospitality team Cape Panwa. Hopefully see you again soon :-)"
