Reviews Summary
Banzaan Fresh Market is a vibrant hub for fresh seafood and local Thai cuisine, offering a unique 'buy and cook' experience. While the haggling can be intense, the quality and freshness of the food are highly praised. Some visitors find the market can get crowded and a bit chaotic, but the overall consensus is that it's a must-visit for foodies in Patong.
"A great place to explore local food in Phuket! The market has so many stalls with fresh seafood and local dishes to choose from. We ordered a lot of food and brought it back to our hotel room since the place was really crowded, and it turned out to be the perfect way to enjoy a feast in comfort. Prices are reasonable for the variety and freshness. Definitely worth a visit, but be prepared for the crowd!"

"Malaysian tourist, a very nice place to enjoy affordable and very fresh seafoods, strongly recommended!
Not based on seller’s request but I recommend you to come to this MIMI HALAL FOOD stall (in image) for fresh and nice seafoods at a very affordable price! This guy from this stall (in photo) gives very good service and low price, we compared prices from diff stalls.
For your reference, we’ve paid for a total of 3800 baht for a big lobster, 3 super big prawns, 2 big crabs, 4 big mantis prawns, 3 large scallops and 1 vege.
Everything was fresh and nice. And we came back here on the 3rd day of trip and found back the same guy and got a similar price for a good amount of seafoods.
Hope this helps!"

"First time here and had not much idea how much the seafood will cost. Skipped the first few stalls at the beginning because they looked super aggressive in pushing items to you. Settled with this honest looking stall guy and gotten 6 seafood at 2200 baht, bargained from 2550 baht. Brought it up to Level 2 and gotten Papaya 2 stall to cook them up at 700 baht, with free fried rice and Kangkong. Seafood was very fresh and we think it’s worth the price!"

Navigating the Seafood Selection and Haggling
