Visitors generally find Grand Canyon Water Park Chiang Mai to be an incredibly fun and exciting experience, especially for families and those seeking adventure. The massive inflatable obstacle course and zipline are major highlights. However, some note that it can be pricey for food and drinks, and a few express minor concerns about the physical demands of climbing inflatables.
"Grand Canyon was on the way to the elephant park so I stopped by on the way.
It’s the biggest water park I’ve ever seen and it’s a cool Location. I Think it’s an old gravel pit.
Iam sure if you bring kids or you are younger age you would appreciate this place better.
There some theme park activities inside as well.
I had a club sandwich in one of the canteens inside of which there are several. But they are all served by one smaller kitchen so there was a long waiting time. It was good though.
I got a visitor pass for 300 bath - you pay 950, to use the water park which seems reasonable enough."

"I visited with my Thai friends for the children's school vacation.
If parents have Thai driver's license and children are attending school in Chiang Mai, they can buy at Thai prices.
I visited around noon on Wednesday and there were not many people.
Children under the age of five can not enter alone and must accompany their parents. The first impression of the Grand Canyon was a clean and pleasant feeling.
And there are friendly staff.
If children want to ride the equipment, safety personnel help, and it's free.
I bought tickets that included entrance tickets, life jackets, and zip lines, and children loved to ride zip lines.
Zip lines can be ridden at a set time and twice at other places.
My 7-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son had a really good day, and parents can sit in chairs with tables and watch their children from afar from time to time.
They sell food and drinks, and the price is very high. But the quality is very good and there is a lot of it.
Both my family and friends had a great time."

Safety and Swimming Concerns
However, some Redditors point out that while life jackets are provided, the ability to climb back onto the inflatable structures requires a certain level of core strength. For those who are not confident swimmers or have physical limitations, this can be a challenge. The park's design, with its inflatable elements, means there are no hard ramps or ladders to easily exit the water onto the inflatables.
Despite these considerations, many visitors have a fantastic time. The key is to be prepared, understand the physical demands, and always prioritize safety by wearing your life jacket and being mindful of your surroundings.
Activities and Thrills
Beyond the inflatables, the park offers a zipline that provides a bird's-eye view of the entire area, adding an extra layer of excitement. For those who enjoy water sports, wakeboarding is available, allowing visitors to test their skills on the water. The park also features various slides and other water-based games, ensuring there's something for everyone.
Many visitors highlight the sheer fun and energetic atmosphere. It's a place where you can easily spend a full day, engaging in a variety of activities that cater to different energy levels and preferences. The combination of challenging obstacles and exhilarating rides makes it a memorable experience.
Value and Pricing
The standard ticket price is often cited around 950 Thai Baht, which typically includes park entry, a life jacket, and a zipline ride. Some online third-party vendors may offer slightly cheaper rates if booked in advance. It's important to note that food and drinks within the park are also on the pricier side, which can add to the overall cost of the day.
Despite the cost, many families and younger visitors find the experience to be a great value due to the extensive range of activities and the unique setting. The quality of food, though expensive, is generally reported to be good.
