"We went up here after visiting Mae Kampong. The path is quite steep, and it can be dangerous to go by motorbike. There is a car service available if needed.
I went in the middle of the week so it was quite empty. Free entry, no ticket required
If you go up to watch the sunset, I recommend using the car service instead of driving your motorbike, especially as it gets dark.
We arrived around 5-6 pm, just as the sun was going down. We were concerned about the dangers of descending in the dark, so we hurried down the mountain after taking photos. The distance from here to Chiangmai city is about 52km, which takes around 1 hour by motorbike.
It's worth trying once, but I'm not sure about doing it a second time 😂"

"Pretty place to watch the sunrise, makes for a great day trip from Chiang Mai, followed by heading to Mae Kampong!
Have came here to watch the sunrise for two New Year’s Day in a row now 🌄🥰🥳~ Not my favorite spot though, as there’s only one viewing deck and tons of people. 😆 You can get some hot snacks from below before heading up to watch the sunrise! It can get really COLD up there, bring a thicker jacket if you don’t wanna suffer 🥶."

"Marvelous location, specially if you are from a flat country like The Netherlands. Half of December was a good time to visit, the weather was great. Good to make a combinated trip with the Mae Kampong Waterfall."
