What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Si Nan National Park is lauded as a hidden gem for its stunning natural beauty, particularly the breathtaking views from Doi Samer Dao and Pha Chu. Visitors praise the peaceful atmosphere, excellent stargazing opportunities, and the refreshing sea of mist. While the park offers great camping and rafting experiences, some note the need for better signage and more accessible cooking facilities.
"First ever camping experience in Thailand! Overall I’m satisfied with the location and environment. There were a few tents set up readily for rent. Staffs were friendly and helpful. Parking lots were spacious and toilets were clean. You need to pay for entrance fee and car fee. There was phone charging service at the customer service counter. Be sure to bring your own foods if you choose to camp overnight. Wind was strong at night and freezing cold."

"Lovely, quiet and remote location and area for camping. Good options for camping, with some wildlife and birds to see. Use the tents or domes or take your own tent. Fabulous mornings especially, with low cloud cover and can be very cool, with great views over the valley. If you are thinking of going, just go - prepared to stay, as we visited and then decided to stay, so were charged twice for entry to the park."

"Si Nan National Park in Nan Province is a hidden gem in northern Thailand. With peaceful mountains, sea of mist views, and star-filled night skies, it’s a perfect place to slow down and reconnect with nature.
The most popular spot in the park is Doi Samer Dao, where visitors can camp right on a ridge with panoramic views. Whether you’re watching the sunrise through the morning mist or stargazing at night, the scenery is always stunning. The camping area is well-maintained, with clean toilets and tents for rent. It’s quiet, peaceful, and has very little light pollution—amazing for astrophotography or just lying under the stars.
Another highlight is Pha Chu, a cliff that offers a dramatic viewpoint over the Nan River and the surrounding valley. Hiking trails in the park are suitable for beginners and nature lovers alike."
