What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Salawin National Park offers stunning, raw natural beauty and adventurous driving opportunities, particularly the challenging 'Salawin Loop'. However, visitors often find the marked hiking trails to be short and poorly maintained, with communication barriers with park staff. The park is best suited for those seeking off-road adventures or a more rugged, self-guided nature experience.
"We had so much fun in Salawin! If you drive through it, I highly recommend that you DO NOT take the road from east to west directly through the park unless you are a skilled rider or in a helluva a 4 wheel drive vehicle. There is an awesome park ranger outpost on the Myanmar border and it was fun to chill it with the park rangers there for a night!"
Brian Bradley
"Good to get into nature for 90 mins but this walk lacks features eg waterfalls, views. Path is not well marked and map at the entrance is misleading. see pics vs true gps track. Man at the entrance didnt ask for money."
J G
"The trails were not clear, they need to do maintenance so it is easier to find your way. I don't think it is worth a visit"
