"A fantastic experience as a first-time diver and thrilled to obtain the open water certificate with instructor Filip! Filip is such a warm and encouraging person, his instructions were precise and easy to follow. I didn’t panicked a lot because I know he is by my side, and when you did well, he made sure to cheer for you and that really helped me gain the confidence. Love the atmosphere among the crew, the instructors, captain, crew and participants all came from different countries and they are all friendly and chilled, you can tell it’s a good team!
I recommend Discovery Divers if you are planning to learn diving in Samui - and look out for Filip and get him as your instructor if you could!"

"Our day with Discovery Divers was a good one. The pickup was on time, though my arrival was a few minutes late. Things were a bit hectic upon arrival at the shop, and while I was partly at fault for not having my son's Junior Open Water certificate on hand, we were able to get it sorted out in the end online.
Our divemaster, Samira, was fantastic. She's a native French speaker and spoke fluent English, which made everything easy. It was our first time diving with this team, and they paid close attention to how I handled things, especially with my 13-year-old son. Their scrutiny felt a bit intense at times, but it was reassuring to see their focus on safety.
The boat ride to Sail Rock was quite bumpy, but that's just how the sea was that day. Whale sharks had been spotted there in the days prior, but unfortunately, we didn't see any ourselves. We still had two good dives, though. We saw huge schools of trevally and yellowtail barracudas, and also some small things like tiny shrimp and nudibranchs. We also saw some bigger barracudas, though they weren't very large. Visibility was about 10-12 meters, but there were a lot of backscatter particles.
Unfortunately, my son got seasick after the first dive and skipped lunch, but he was still able to do the second dive. There were a couple of small bumps along the way, like someone mistaking our weight belt and masks for their own, but Samira handled everything professionally and got our gear set up again quickly.
Overall, it's a solid dive operation with a team that speaks all kinds of languages. The manager, Dion, even speaks fluent Japanese, and it seemed like the other Japanese guests were happy."

"Really well run dive centre. Staff and DM’s were all excellent and it was easy to book and pay. Note that the office location is different from the pier location where the boat departs. Also note that most dives are around Koh Tao, so over 3 days of diving it was a lot of hours on the boat.
I’d definitely recommend for beginners or people wanting easy diving. Very high quality DMs, who I imagine run very high quality courses (I was just fun diving so didn’t see any courses being run)."
