What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
People consistently praise the Rama VIII Bridge for its dramatic city views and the overall river vibe, though crowds and occasional scams can temper the experience. With smart timing and a bit of planning, most visitors walk away with stunning photos and memorable moments.
"Right under the bridge in arun amarin area, is the coolest spot to chill under the bridge. Lovely little neighbourhood vibe with the locals selling food and coming together every evening to chat and watch the river. Good spot to catch a nice sunrise in mornings when the sun is out. There is a cool little park right next to it also. With toilet and.plenty of seating. Popular with joggers."

"I've seen this Bridge for so many times in lakorns (Thai series) so I wanted to visit it for a long time already.
Starting from the Phra Sumen Fort (here are pics from the riverside), from where you can also see the Bridge, I walked from this place after, which took around ~30 mins.
I recommend to visit it in the evening to get the best view of it, because the night lights are very beautiful there✨️"

"We used the bridge to walk to the other side after having lunch nearby. Simply strolled around and happened to come to this bridge. The lifts weren’t operating when we were there and we had to climb a couple flights of stairs up. In the day, the bridge don’t really look special at all. Maybe it’s due to the fact that we were on the bridge and if the bridge was viewed from afar, it might be better. To us, it just looked like any other normal bridges. We found some people fishing under the bridge as well."
