What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors are captivated by Wat Tham Phu Wa's unique cave temple architecture, with its impressive sandstone exterior and multi-level caverns adorned with Buddha images and natural rock formations. The serene atmosphere and beautifully maintained gardens are frequently praised, offering a peaceful escape. Some find the interior decorations less appealing compared to the striking exterior, but most agree it's a worthwhile and mystical destination.
"Not sure what the Asian fascination is with caves with a lot of fake junk inside. This isn't the only one I've seen. Marble Mountain near Da Nang is similar. And there's one in Kuala Lumpur, among others.
The creepiest thing in this is what looks like a statue of Ho Chi Minh hidden deep inside. There was nobody here the weekday I came. It's so big they must get busloads at other times. It was very peaceful but very hot."
Brad Smith
"I may have visited this temple several years ago. Yesterday I was on a tour with my friends and they chose to go to this temple which I vaguely remembered from about 7 years ago. The temple now has added attractions like rock formations, similar to the Stonehenge of the U.K. and beautifully kept flowered shrubs. The outside resembled some sort of Khmer temple while the interior was made into a huge cave. It looked quite pleasing to the eye and the atmosphere inside was nice and cool, not stuffy. Worth a visit, I'd say."

"Very beautiful from the outside . Amazing colour . Not too keen on the cave inside"
