What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Ramkhamhaeng National Museum to be an informative and essential stop before exploring the Sukhothai Historical Park, offering a deep dive into the region's art and history. While the displays are rich with artifacts and explanations, some find the Thai-language dominance and the foreigner entrance fee to be drawbacks. However, the air-conditioned environment and free water refills are appreciated amenities.
"The artifacts and displaying boards provides important information on buddhist art in Thailand, though most of them are in Thai language and need google translation. It is highly recommended to visit this museum before going to historical park. On the first floor it replicates the Jataka tales from Si Chum Temple’s tunnel."

"The museum contains information about the whole province of Sukhothai as well as a big exhibition about the historical park and what they found there. You can see a lot of art, Buddhas and ceramic here and they made it really informative with texts in Thai and English, as well as some interactive elements.
Still I think 200 Baht could have been a kombi ticket for historical park and museum, or at least for all the other smaller temples where they also have enty fees"

"Spending time in a national museum here was a bless for me. Many artifacts and knowledge that I could learn from this place. Also, they have the ac on, and free water to refill with Jasmine flowers where I did put on my water bottle which made it enjoyable to drink in a hot day"
