However, some visitors have expressed disappointment with the beach's cleanliness, citing litter issues. Despite this, the fresh seafood and relaxed atmosphere remain significant draws for many.
"Quiet beach close to Bangkok. Nice for weekend trip or staying if you like a quiet beach area.
A hidden gem here is the Treeroot Retreat, a small hotel/retreat close to the beach with beautiful rooms, training facilities, surfboards, bicycles and a real familiar feeling to it."
Anders Bangkok
"I heard complaints many times about the lack of cleanliness of this beach.
It looks like some visitors forget to put the rubbish in the blue bins on the main road to avoid littering the beach.
However the District Government and National Parks make HUGE efforts to keep those long and beautiful beaches, tidy and enjoyable.
If you visit, PLEASE remember NOT to throw away in the beach any plastics nor any garbage, so we can continue to enjoy those fantastic beautiful beaches!"
Horacio Goncharol (HoracioPeter)
"The beach was filthy with trash including broken glass. The sand was rough and had holes in it and hurt to walk on even with sandals. Lastly, the waves were so violent that swimming was definitely a no-go. We wanted to stay for a few hours for the sunset, but that was not an option with how disgusting and unsafe the beach was."
