What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Ao Yai Long Beach is praised for its stunning sunsets, relaxed atmosphere, and uncrowded shores. Visitors appreciate the clean sand, beachfront dining, and surfing opportunities. Some note it's not the most visually stunning beach but offers a genuine, peaceful island experience.
"The main beach of Koh Phayam. Due to the waves, there are quite a few surfers there. In the evening, it's a great place to watch the sunset with a cold beer. There are quite a few resorts and beach bars there. But overall, it's still a quiet and relaxed place. Everyone can find a suitable spot here..."
Olli B.
"Wonderful beach with great restaurants, bars and small accommodations lined up.
It’ll never be crowded!
You can run the whole length of the beach. In the south the places are a bit more deserted, more hippies. In the very north, the most stunning snorkeling!"
Raphael Bartke
"This beach is very long and specially it is wider from afternoon when low tide. Many accommodations and restaurants around this area but it is not loud, specially in the evening it is very quiet. I stayed at a resort with sea view bungalow in this area and I had a great time here.
This beach is clean, no trash or plastic stuffs although the sand is not powdery white sand. Also no seashells or rock on the sand, it is very easy to walk barefoot on the beach. In the afternoon some of tourists come to run around or do exercises here.
This beach is quite far from the pier where the boats bring passengers from Ranong. But many restaurants around on the main road in this area. This beach is also very close to the dive shop where will take you to Richelieu Rock. Actually only 1 this dive shop offers this tour on this island.
The best thing what this beach offers is incredible sunset on the ocean! The water on surface looks like a huge mirror on the beach, if you travel to Koh Phayam island, you must come to visit this beach, do not miss it.
Highly recommend to everyone!"
