"I recently stayed at the newly reopened Dusit Thani (2024), and I can confidently say the "Grand Dame" of Bangkok is back in style. The location is strategic: right next to the beautiful new Dusit Central Park, a 3-minute walk to the MRT, and about 8 minutes to the BTS.
Check-in & Room:
The experience starts on the 39th floor with a stunning view during check-in. The staff escorts you to the room, which is a nice touch. The room itself is a masterpiece of design. The highlight is undoubtedly the floor-to-ceiling "infinity" window overlooking Lumpini Park and the skyline—absolutely cinematic. The bed and linens are solid 5-star quality, and the bathroom features a high-tech Toto washlet (always appreciated). The only minor design quirk was the open-concept wardrobe, which might not be to everyone's taste, but it fits the modern aesthetic. Note: Minibar items are charged separately.
Club Lounge & Dining:
I had Club access (39th floor). The view there is breathtaking, and the service is impeccable.
• Breakfast: You can choose between the Lounge (quiet, limited buffet + a la carte) or the Main Restaurant on the G floor. I recommend the Main Restaurant: even when busy, the service is flawless. The buffet spread is huge, and you can order fresh coconuts—a great start to the day.
• Evening Service: The Lounge offers tasty hot snacks (served as small plates) and a decent buffet of cheese, ham, and fruits. The only downside was the wine selection, which felt a bit uninspired—unfortunately, a common theme in Bangkok executive lounges.
Facilities:
The 5th floor hosts a decent infinity pool and a gym with modern equipment (3 treadmills). I visited the Spa for a 90-minute massage. The price is on the higher side (4,500 THB ++, totaling approx. 5,200 THB), but the ambiance is very relaxing.
The Grand Finale:
For the airport transfer, the hotel offers everything from standard cars to luxury options. I opted for the Porsche Panamera E-Hybrid Executive. For 4,500 THB, this was exceptional value. Not only was the ride smooth and comfortable, but a hotel representative met me at the airport with a trolley and escorted me all the way to the check-in counter. That is true 5-star service.

"There wasn't anything I didn't like. The hotel was amazing and offer one of Bangkoks best views from your own room. The hotel is quite new (2 years) so everything was still in excellent condition. Their wellness spa was amazing, but overall. It was the staff who made this hotel 5 stars. All lovely, all helpful and you can feel, that they love doing their jobs and want the best for the guest. The overall feelings is luxurious and well taken care of. I stayed in alot of 5 stats, but this small hotel definitely is a high tier of my list."

The service was excellent, warm and very helpful with everything we needed. The breakfast was huge, rich and delicious, and the pastries were outstanding. The bed was also extremely comfortable.
