It's appreciated as a less crowded alternative to larger temples, offering a peaceful and thought-provoking spiritual experience. Some note that certain artworks could benefit from restoration.

"When you are in the area, visiting the much larger Wat Pha That Cho Hae, I suggest you also come visit this temple. It is smaller but also ancient and set in a forest clearing. There is a very tall standing Buddha next to the stupa. There are other intetesting/different statues around the temple complex. Just outside the temple in the forest, there is a reclining Buddha."

Z William

"This is a wonderful temple to visit. I am very confused though about many of the statues that are being tortured. wish that we knew why. All in all this has been our favorite temple but they may be because it was not crowded at all so we could walk around on my own."

John & Heather Bacon

"Visit 25/3/2019. Old Wat with lots of strange statues in one old section. Many old artworks wanting restoration."
