What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Bangkok Southern Bus Terminal is a massive, sometimes chaotic, but ultimately functional hub for southern travel. While navigation can be confusing, the availability of numerous bus companies, affordable food options in the food court, and nearby night market make it a practical starting point. Some travelers note delays with minivans, but the overall connectivity is praised.
"A bit chaotic, unorganized and confusing bus terminal (located inside the mall) mainly to the southern provinces. To buy ticket for bus, from G floor (entrance) need to go upstairs to 1st floor. For minivan, on G floor, have to go outside the building towards parking lot. As these are mostly private bus / van companies, you have to go and pick which one you want to travel with and the fares are quite the same across companies for the same destination. Note that minivans are for shorter distance so for destinations like Huahin, you have to travel by minivan from here.
Once on board, please be reminded to buckle up because it's not strictly enforced and nobody cares.
Other less confusing options to check bus / van schedule, book or buy ticket, visit transport.co.th or via app 12Go or BusX
As this terminal is a bit isolated and not connected with either BTS or MRT, you have to get here either by bus or taxi."

"A little bit confusing. For express bus, go to level one. But for minivan to other provinces, its at ground floor outside the building. When I was there, a few school students wearing the uniform were there to help with the traffic and some of them also helped the old people carrying their bags around the terminal.
The minivan 994 supposed to depart at 2pm but delayed to around 3.30pm with oversold ticket and took time to resolve the problem."
