What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Liuhe Night Market is a vibrant spot for street food and shopping, praised for its spacious layout and variety of delicious, affordable eats like papaya milk and nougat. While some find it more tourist-oriented, its lively atmosphere and friendly vendors offer a quintessential Kaohsiung experience. A minor concern is the occasional presence of motorbikes on the walking street.
"This is a small night market compared to Ruifeng Night Market, but I prefer this one because of its wider streets and lessCrowded atmosphere. It offers a variety of food options, but the must-try items are the Papaya Milk and the nougat. They have a wide selection of flavors at affordable prices. Perfect for a quick and enjoyable night market experience!
The only downside of this market is that motorbikes ride along the walking street, which seems dangerous."

"We are fancy with large night market but rather prefer one with more local touch. We stayed near to this and love it much!
We been visiting for 3 nights straight for different street foods, we got to learn that some stalls has been there for over 30 years or even longer history!
Strongly recommend the foods we shared in pictures, and do visit a shop that sell the bags or accessories! The husband & wife shop owners are extremely friendly and their products are good quality with reasonable price! Many has been asking where I bought the nice bag 🤣😂
Love this market, grateful for all the lovely conversations we had and met with the locals here ❤️ 谢谢你们"

"We enjoyed dining here. It was a few minutes away from our hotel so we went here twice. Stayed at the tables near the grilled oysters and fried mushrooms but bought food from several stores.
This review is mainly an appreciation post for the store that sells bags, we found them a few minutes before midnight so most stores were closed already. If you find yourself out of luggage space from having brought too many souvenirs/food, we found a store that sells big foldable bag for luggage check-in. Will post the photos for reference."
