"It’s a walking friendly old street with many vendors who specialize in local speciality items. It’s worth a visit. Something interesting is that the area is still very agricultural base so they have a self serve stand that has chayote. And if you pay attention chayote grows everywhere. And they have different variety of chayote variety. We enjoy the Alishan coffee and also the traditional aiyu jelly and ginger candied items. Go early as large your buses show up around 1130 and noon."

"I was told jiufen or something was nice, but this place was better to dodge the insane crowds. Honestly, I believe that since I practically went on a national holiday but still had one of the most picturesque and amazing experience. From the train passing to the old timely vibe of the streets. It was a place to put on your schedule if you're able to visit(we came with a car)."
