Visitors praise Zengibar Castle for its magnificent panoramic views and the impressive, intact main entrance gate. While acknowledging the site is largely in ruins, many find the historical significance and natural beauty make the effort to reach it worthwhile. The remote location and lack of facilities are noted, but the peaceful atmosphere and opportunity for a picnic by the natural spring are highlights.
"Entry is free. The view from the top is magnificent. The city walls are mostly destroyed, and the interior is quite neglected.
To get there, you drive up the dirt road from Işıklar village to 150 meters below the castle. From there, you have to climb up; after entering the main gate, the interior is generally flat.
The air is very clean, and the views are magnificent.
It's amazing what people did in the past due to security concerns.
If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend visiting."

"You can get there by entering a few accessible villages, such as the villages of Hacılar and Hisarlık, connected to the steppe. Unless you're driving a 4x4 vehicle, you'll need to stop about a kilometer downstream and walk back up. Don't expect many ruins or artifacts. It's generally in ruins. But even in ruins, it's much larger and more beautiful than many ancient cities I've visited, and the view is magnificent. You can see almost all the way to Seydişehir. There aren't any businesses nearby, but there's a natural spring on the plain below that emerges from underground. You can drink from it safely. I definitely recommend bringing good walking shoes and food and drink, as there aren't any markets nearby. They also often picnic at the base of the natural spring, a grassy area under the trees."

"If you are coming from Hadim Bozkır, the navigation leaves you in the middle of the road, we got off and searched for an hour, then you have to go about 3 km on the dirt road by car, the road is not bad. Other than losing time with navigation, it was a very nice forest walk. There is no forest in Zengibar, understand from there that there is still a way to go, continue. We enjoyed it very much, if you like nature and history, it is a legendary place to sit and watch the mountains and nature, relax and see new places. It covers a large area, there is no direction or map, you have to be careful, slow and careful. The downside is that there are no direction signs or directions."
