What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Suluada Island is overwhelmingly praised for its breathtaking turquoise waters and pristine white sand beaches, often dubbed the 'Maldives of Turkey.' Visitors rave about the scenic boat trips and the overall idyllic atmosphere. Some minor drawbacks include potential crowds during peak season and the need for careful booking to avoid inflated prices.
"Lovely remote island day tour with 3 stops for swimming and lunch on the boat. Music on the boat was fun sunbathing. May - 23 degrees and no wind"

"Tiny island where tourists board boats at Adrasan beach. The round trip takes about 5 hours stopping for swims & lunch. Be aware that anything other than your included rustic lunch will be expensive. A thimble of tea & a small ice cream cost 300tl/€6.70. First world pi takers prices. Music pumps loud on every boat. Avoid the smokers by sitting near the front. Lots & lots of tourists who are littering the beaches with single shoes, T shirts, plastic bottles etc. Other than that it was a fun experience and it was beautiful to see."

"My friend and I had the most wonderful time in Suluada Island. I had the pleasure of enjoying the most amazing, clear, blue sea water waves against the white background of this rocky island. Our driver Taylan was punctual and very helpful. The mini bus was comfortable. Our guide Kartal was absolutely hilarious. Very knowledgeable and approachable, he went above and beyond to make sure that our tour was great. We saw amazing scenery, had an amazing time swimming in pristine waters and our meals were quite good (I recommend choosing the fish because it was very fresh). I definitely remembered choosing Tur Turizm for your adventure tours from Antalya."

Booking Your Boat Trip: Tips from Travelers
However, caution is advised regarding online bookings. Some travelers have noted that certain websites can appear 'fishy,' leading to concerns about scams or overpriced tours. To mitigate this, it's suggested to choose operators with a high number of positive reviews and clear service offerings. Comparing prices and what's included (like lunch and drinks) is crucial. Many tours offer a comprehensive package, making them a good value for a full day's excursion.
While booking in advance is generally recommended, some travelers also mention the possibility of arranging trips directly at the docks in places like Adrasan. This approach might offer more flexibility but requires careful negotiation and vetting of the boat and captain. Ultimately, a well-researched booking, whether online or in person, ensures a smooth and enjoyable Suluada Island experience.
