"Very beautiful hiking trail. relatively easy and provides some incredible viewpoints along the way. public toilets available at the start and close to the end, some of them are in the old restaurants where visitors can stop for a drink or food. You need to pay attention to the signs in the beginning of the trail in the old town. perfect trail for hiking in summer and spring. a big part of the trail runs through the forest so it is shaded, calm and super peaceful.
You will encounter some wild animals along the way including marmots.

You'll pass several historic buildings, such as an alpine hut from the 13th century and the wooden house from 1551. There are three restaurants along the trail, and you'll enjoy unique views the entire way. In winter, surefootedness and sturdy footwear are recommended."

1. Signage isn't beyond reproach.
2. Missing warnings before the circular hike that there are some slightly "exposed" sections that require surefootedness and no fear of heights.
The Zermatt app classifies it as a moderately difficult hike, but there are no specific safety tips regarding surefootedness and a head for heights.
