"We bought tickets in advance, it did not seem to matter because there are so many people you end up waiting in line anyway past your ticketed time. This seems to be popular with tour groups and big buses of people delay other entry. The views from the cable car are stunning. From the top of Stanserhorn there are great views, some hikes, and marmots. The restaurant is self service and has a rotating platform in the center. When you make it to the top you must get your return ticket down at a specific time of your own choosing. This was far better timed than the way up."
