What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Metro Alpin for its unique engineering and the spectacular views from Mittelallalin, calling it a worthwhile experience. However, some find the ticket purchasing process confusing and the lift system not entirely modern, with occasional issues at ticket machines.
"My favourite town in Switzerland. It is like Zermatt 30 years ago. Lots of charm, friendly people, great skiing, good restaurants, stocked grocery stores and lots of options for accommodation."
Adam Rogers
"Lack of clear information about prices and schedule on the website. Difficult to get clear information on the web. Directly at site, it is still very confusing, there is no external notice board with timetables at the entrance to the cable car Alpin Express. We asked 3 local people very kind in front of the cable car and no one understood there and from the official site if the cable car will be open the following day. On a web site, we find that the first departure is at 8.30 in the morning. Misleading information. At the mountain guides office, we discovered the skock answer, the cable car is closed in the morning. If the cable car is closed, CLOSED must be written clearly on the web. We decide to go home. We spent time driving car, money and we took a day off work for nothing. Sadly, we will probably never return here."
