"I was given a complimentary ticket from my camp for this tour. It only includes one way. The walk back to Les Brenets from Le Saut Du Doubs is about an hour.
The captain/guide did not speak English. She spoke French and German only. Luckily, I could understand a bit of French but still, I didn’t see anything of significance during the tour. The most interesting view was the souvenir shop at the end.
The ride lasted about 20mins.
The boat drops off in front of Restaurant Saut Du Doubs and it’s about a 10-15min walk to the falls.
You can cross the bridge over to the French side or stay on the Swiss side. Either has a lookout deck for the falls.
The falls are beautiful when it’s at its most powerful. Overall the trip was ok but nice if you want to spend some time in nature for the day."

"If you travel by train, first go to Le Locle and from there catch the train to Les Brenets. From the train station you have to walk to the lake (which will be tougher on the way back since it's gonna be uphill!). The boat trip takes about 15 minutes and from there you will have to walk about 45 minutes to reach the waterfall (there are different trails so it might take more/less time though). There are some restaurants (on the Swiss and French side) and a souvenir shop. Beautiful place indeed!"
