Kleine Scheidegg is lauded for its breathtaking alpine scenery, particularly the iconic Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau peaks, and its role as a scenic stop on the way to Jungfraujoch. However, some visitors feel it can be a 'tourist trap' due to unexpected train ticket charges, even with a Swiss Pass, leading to frustration over a lack of clear signage.

"Beautiful sightseeing, mountains. But tourist trap, no sign for about paying tickets even with any pass also Swiss pass. They waited for us to go up near the last station to tell us “This is private train, must pay tickets even we have Swiss pass.” Also the ticket inspector told us “You have to research before hop in”. There is no sign, no information so how can we find out. We’ve bought every pass to every country we’ve come but especially this place is try to get tourist money with no respect."
