What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Rigidalstock is praised for its rewarding views and challenging via ferrata routes, particularly the K3 option for beginners. However, it can get very crowded on sunny weekends, and the descent on the K3 route requires concentration. Some reviewers noted long wire sections before stoppers, impacting perceived security.
"Great via ferrata for beginners, you also get rewarded with an awesome scenic view. To the summit you have two routes: Rigidalstockwand (harder variant, not beginner friendly) and Rigidalstockgrad (easier variant and descent). You can also combine it with the the via ferratas on Brunnistöckli.
Beware though, on sunny weekend days, it can get packed (especially on the easier trails). Also dont underestimate the climb up to the via ferrata, it can be exhausting if not having any cardio done before. A round trip could take around 4h"

"Breathtaking view from the top 🏔️
There are two via ferratas and it’s only possible to take one of them to get the top.
The last 200m must be climbed and it’s recommended to have an equipment for this.
But I saw one or two people without ferrata equipment who headed to the top.
It’s not impossible but partly risky."
Jakub “Jay”
"A very nice via ferrata with two different levels of difficulty for the ascent. Unfortunately, the descent is also via a via ferrata, which requires concentration and requires some oncoming traffic. It got very crowded in the afternoon, so it's best to start early!"
