To overcome height in steep terrain, the train snakes its way down to the valley using a 360-degree curve over nine arches. And the train finds its way out of the spiral through one of the viaduct's arches."

"This is the famous spiral viaduct of the Rhaetian railways journey, it is a protected UNESCO World Heritage, opened long back in 1901. The Bernina express slowly turning around going into the viaduct and turning around so slow and nice is so beautiful to witness! The place is a tourist destination just for this sight. Absolutely Lovely, this is towards the fag end of the ride as you enter I to Italy from here onwards. Amazing indeed! Swiss engineering and infrastructure is so great that they did this so long back. Maintained very well and nice!"
