"Lovely bridge to cross with river Rhine below. It is so different to see people floating here with their waterproof swim bags. It looked awesome in the blazing summer heat."

"The middle Rhine River bridge, connects the old and new town area, was built from 1903 to 1905, to replace the old and original wooden bridge.
Not just because it's historical landmark value, but in the middle of the bridge, there's a little sign with several faces and lines of words, which states " Basel commemorates the people who were accused, persecuted, tortured, and killed for witchcraft in earlier centuries".
And they also want to remind everyone that it's very important to always appreciate different opinions."

"We came to visit Basel from Germany for one day. The city is very beautiful, but driving around is quite problematic. There are so many cyclists everywhere, and it creates a lot of stress.
Everything in Basel felt expensive to us. I had heard before that Switzerland is expensive, and it’s true. Healthy food is only available in markets and such. Restaurants are extremely expensive and open very late.
We were there on a Friday and walked a lot just to find a Turkish restaurant. When we got there, they told us that dinner is served at 5 PM and asked us to come back then. The person also said that most places in Basel are like this.
We ended up just having a coffee and leaving. So honestly, we wandered around all day hungry. Later, we had a beef sausage at a market — we paid 8 francs for it. It tasted so bad.
Unfortunately, we were really disappointed with the food, and everything was extremely expensive."
