What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors appreciate Ven Island for its tranquil, car-free atmosphere and the historical significance of the Tycho Brahe Museum. The island's gardens and outdoor activities are also frequently praised. Some reviewers noted that the museum's content could be more focused on scientific methodology rather than just biography.
"The museum is a little underwhelming. I have seen and very interesting documentaries about tycho brahe and i was hoping the museum would be similar interesting.
The museum is more about his biography and not so much about how he worked or figured all these things out. The museum could explain how you as a normal person could kind of observe the night skies like he did and how to get to the right conclusions. How dangerous it was to have a different opinion then the church, how he was trying to make alchemy, or how that possibly could have went, more about the fighr with the danish king
So much interesting material!"
Stine Kristensen
"Interesting place - mostly for a Dane perhaps.. its a bit basic, but a nice memory of Tycho Brahe and his work of observing the planets and introducing the world to astronomy by carefully observing, measuring and registrering"
Thomas S. Iversen
"Nice place. Museum, shop and brain teasers outdoors for everyone. The garden is well kept and very nice."
