What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The University of Borås is highly praised for its leading textile programs and research, attracting international attention. However, some reviews indicate significant concerns regarding alleged racism and teaching quality in non-textile departments, particularly Pedagogy and Industrial Engineering, leading to a mixed overall perception for some prospective students.
"Good if you want to study textiles. Bad if you want to study pedagogy. Some of the professors make sure courses that can lead to higher salary are not passed by students of certain origin no matter how hard you try. During a seminar which I recorded a professor laughed at my face whilst I was doing my presentation. I never seen a teacher laugh like that at a student. And then he told me you know what ́I can not listen anymore. Mocking me with another student that told me that my thesis was too much related to my work experience which is normal since my work and the course goes hand in hand. That student when he saw me in second part of the course his face turned green. He had previously told me that I am talking nonsense. The pedagogy department is very racist. I did everything by the book for not even program but small courses and just the way they look at you like they hate you or are disgusted with you feels very discriminatory. If you are an international student save your money. They do not even teach you anything new. No competence whatsoever. They keep returning thesis to ask you to to talk more or less about a topic."
