Unfortunately, the service did not live up to the setting. During the tasting menu, we waited up to an hour between servings, which really disrupted the flow of the meal. At breakfast, we requested a window seat to enjoy the view but were told those tables were reserved for groups of four. Only a minute later, another couple asked the same waiter for the same thing and were given the table without hesitation. This inconsistency was frustrating and left a poor impression.
In general, the staff seemed unprofessional and insecure in their roles. Simple requests were often mishandled — for example, I ordered a filter coffee but was brought a cappuccino instead.
Overall, Norman’s Castle is worth a visit for its design and surroundings, but don’t expect much when it comes to service."
