What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Dunkers Kulturhus is highly praised as a vibrant cultural hub, particularly for its incredibly detailed and engaging city history exhibition that utilizes AR and audio guides. Visitors also appreciate the art displays, the beautiful seaside location, and the fact that many exhibitions are free on Tuesdays. While generally well-received, some minor issues with AR translations have been noted.
"I visited this place by chance, since it's right by my hotel and since I noticed that exhibitions are free on Tuesday.
The city's history exhibition is incredible. Very detailed, with tons of interesting stories about the residents of Helsingborg and its surroundings that got me absorbed for hours even though I live nowhere near here. So rich in content and varied in media: images, videos, models and even AR. Every text can also be listened to, simply by scanning QR codes. Everything here is translated into English which makes it really accessible for all (except for the AR currently unfortunately...). Looks like the curators really put their heart and soul to it and it shows.
Other exhibitions included beautiful paintings of a local artist named Viktor Rosdahl and a cute one about the city's maritime heritage.
Overall, a very nice cultural space. Recommended for both locals and foreigners."

"Amazing place by the sea, with boats docked at the front, the place is a music school for the kids, concerts to attend to, host exhibitions, and a museum telling about the history of the town of Helsingborg. Absolutely loved it and then had a nice coffee at the Dunkers Kaffe. The people of Helsingborg are a very nice lot and one can strike a conversation with almost anyone."
