What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Guruge Nature Park offers a unique blend of family fun with its water park and dinosaur exhibits, alongside cultural and historical insights. While many visitors praise the engaging attractions and lively atmosphere, some reviews highlight concerns about facility maintenance and staff responsiveness, particularly at the water park.
"Very disappointing experience at Guruge Water Park.
The park is poorly maintained facilities look worn out and unsafe. We rented a water balloon for fun, but due to clear lack of maintenance, it got damaged. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, they unfairly fined us Rs. 2,500 without even investigating.
Worse, there was no proper first aid available when we got injured during the incident. When we asked about it, a staff member casually said the person on duty was “new” and didn’t know where first aid was kept. How is that our fault?
There was zero responsibility or care shown by the staff. Paying visitors deserve safety, respect, and basic medical support not penalties for the park’s negligence."

"We had an amazing day at Guruge Nature Park and Water Park in Ja Ela! The perfect blend of fun water rides and fascinating cultural exhibits made it a unique experience, tracing Sri Lanka’s history all the way back to 547 BC. The park is family-friendly with plenty of attractions, and the lively atmosphere especially on weekends adds to the excitement. Highly recommend for a fun and educational outing! 🌊🎢🌿📸"
