Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Casa de Carta for its beautiful traditional house and gardens, offering a glimpse into Canarian culture with exhibits on historical life, costumes, and gofio mills. The free entry on Fridays and Saturdays is a significant draw. Some reviewers note that the museum might not be as extensive as it once was, with potential renovations affecting parts of the exhibition.

"To have a tasty of Canary culture, this museum it's located in a beautiful traditional house with a precious garden in the small village of Valle Guerra. My favorite parts of the exhibitions were the traditional clothes and instruments & the old "farm kitchen". Every Friday and Saturday from 13h00 till 17h00 entrance is free. Worth the visit!"

Karen Michie

"The museum is located in the former country estate of a noble family and is interesting for that reason alone. The permanent exhibition shows a bit about the family's lifestyle, as well as traditional costumes from the Canary Islands. There are also changing special exhibitions, currently focusing on restoration and modern art, focusing on the role of women. Part of the museum is currently being renovated, and I'm looking forward to the new rooms.

Very interesting and worth a visit."

Roswitha Buchner

"It's a shame they let it abandon it, it's certainly not what it was. The house is still beautiful, and the gardens are beautiful, but the exhibition is not worth it. It is free Friday and Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m."
