What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Lanzarote Golf offers a visually stunning experience with its ocean and volcanic backdrops, and many find the course well-maintained and the staff accommodating. However, some visitors feel the overall cost, including rentals, is high, and a few have encountered less-than-ideal customer service interactions.
"Beautiful course and really well kept. Lovely setting and really helpful staff. Camilla was great and super friendly! A must do for anything golf enthusiast staying in Lanzarote"
Tom Hill
"the golf bit was actually fine and no complaints, however, the caddy master came across as very condescending. When asked for stiff clubs, he asked for the handicap (my partner plays single figures) followed by “well i’m a pro” to try argue that we in fact did not need stiff clubs. When asked to swap from a 5 wood to 3 wood we also got an eye roll. I struggle to understand why this is a thing, if you pay for it. Overall human interaction in the club wasn’t great. Caddymaster should do a bit better than that as a “pro” claims to be"

"Be aware this course is not worth £80 a round and the fact we had to hire clubs and with a buggy was £240. It didn't finish there,we then had to buy balls and gloves to add to the cost went well north of £300.
Greens are very poor, but nice layout of the course.
Overall disappointing for the money paid for 2 people."

Navigating the Course: Wind and Layout
The layout itself is well-designed, with a mix of challenging holes that require accuracy and strategic thinking. While some reviews mention inconsistencies with the greens, the overall course design is praised for its aesthetic appeal and engaging play. It's recommended to have a good understanding of your game and perhaps consider a buggy to navigate the course more comfortably, especially if you're not accustomed to hilly terrain or strong winds.
For those seeking a less strenuous experience or wanting to practice in a controlled environment, Lanzarote Golf also features a Trackman simulator. This offers a fantastic alternative, allowing players to enjoy a virtual round with club rentals included, making it a more accessible option for groups or those looking to hone their skills without the full outdoor challenge.
The Social Scene: Beyond the Green
This social aspect extends to the on-site restaurant and bar, which serves as a focal point for visitors. Whether you're celebrating a good round or simply enjoying the views, the dining options provide a pleasant way to unwind. While specific menu details aren't extensively covered, the mention of tapas and cocktails suggests a relaxed, holiday-appropriate culinary experience.
It's worth noting that customer service experiences can vary. While many staff members are described as friendly and accommodating, one review highlighted a condescending interaction with a caddymaster. This suggests that while the facilities and setting are generally well-regarded, individual staff interactions can sometimes detract from the overall experience.
Understanding the Costs: What to Expect
This means that while the course itself offers a unique golfing experience, the overall value for money is a point of consideration for some travelers. If you're on a tighter budget, exploring options like the Trackman simulator, which includes club rental for a set hourly fee, might be a more economical choice.
For those who plan to bring their own equipment or are looking for ways to manage costs, consider purchasing balls and gloves before arriving at the course. Alternatively, if you're staying for an extended period, investing in a set of affordable clubs might be more cost-effective than repeated rentals.
