Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Museo de Santa Cruz for its impressive El Greco collection and beautiful Renaissance architecture, especially the serene courtyard. While some note that main exhibition halls can be closed for renovations, temporary exhibits often provide engaging content. The free admission is a significant draw, though a few suggest clearer signage would enhance the visitor experience.

"Loved the El Greco paintings. Just amazing artist and his art. The museum is small but free. The cloister is beautiful. A little more direction from the staff or signs would be helpful."

Linda Bailey

"I would like to state that the Santa Cruz museum was really unique and beautiful when I visited back in February. Although the main exhibition halls were closed due to renovations, the temporary exhibition halls did manage to make up for the fact. There were two on going exhibitions at the time of the renovations to the main hall, both of whom possessed a great interest through their contents.

If anyone wishes to have a more extensive context and review they can go into the About me section in my profile for a more extensive review."

TRAVEL AROUND THE WORLD

"What a lovely little museum tucked away just steps from the bustle of a busy plaza. Unassuming but a delight to behold. It is not big and fancy but it has a courtyard reminiscent of a moorish garden and the interior is lined with some stunning artifacts spanning the history of Toledo. If you love pottery they have a very nice collection of vessels and tiles. I was surprised by the number of El Grecco paintings that it housed, all in magnificent condition. This is worth while seeing."
