What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Roque Nublo as a must-see on Gran Canaria, highlighting its stunning natural beauty and incredible panoramic views, especially during sunset. The hike is considered rewarding, though some find the parking and reservation system inconvenient.
"Definitely one of the most fascinating sights on Gran canaria!
Note: a booking is required in advance (free on their website), also you can't park directly at the hiking area, a parking lot is a few km away. A bus transfer is organised to the start of the hike, which costs 1,4€ one way.
The walk towards the rocks is rather short, yet quite uphill, so proper shoes are recommended.
The entire hike takes around 1,5h both ways, if you take some time at the top."

"Stunning. I am speachless. We were here in beautifull weather in may and i loved the hike and the views.
Be aware that there is some entrance reservation until 16:00? ( i forgot the hour)
You can not get to the park before. So either try to reserve online or plan later visit.
Also we did not undestand the parking policy but looks like they are building a parking lot near the entrance.
Bring water with you."

"You need to prebook a free slot to visit (between hours of 9-17), but the spaces dont fill up that fast, we booked 2 days before for a Saturday visit and there was even more availability during the week, so you can still be flexible with the schedule. But you absolutely must coordinate with the bus schedule since it only drives about once an hour or less and there's no parking options at the trailhead (old parking lot is closed). You can enter the trail an hour before or half an hour after your time slot but the bus schedule doesnt really allow for any such flexibility. Id also suggest to go a bit earlier as the road to the area is very winding and lots of cars are afraid to drive faster than 20-30 km/h, which can definitely delay your arrival. We parked at Cruz de los Llanos which is the closest bus stop/parking. Bus ticket is 1.40€ each way, you can pay cash or card. We took the bus at 12:00, and the bus back at 14:00 and it was perfect timing. The hike to the top platform took us about 30 mins with short stops, I'd say it's easy to moderate difficulty. There's some shade on the trail when it pases through the forest but not much at the top, only around the rocks. The view at the top is amazing and it's not too busy due to the limited entry. I just wish the parking situation was better and less inconvenient (free shuttle with more frequency or parking closer to the trailhead would improve this), but the hike itself is definitely worth doing."
