Reviews Summary

Reviews for Mercado Municipal de Abastos are mixed, with some visitors praising the vibrant atmosphere and fresh produce, while others express disappointment over limited stalls and perceived rudeness from some vendors. The architectural aspect often receives positive remarks, though some renovations have been criticized for clashing with historic surroundings. Reddit

"Ok"

Prudencio Alvarez

"We went for a day in Soria and stopped by the municipal market. It was a total disappointment: very few stalls, only one fruit stand, and a rude response from the bakery girl when we asked where the restrooms were.
Not a single smile at the stalls; everything was very sober. We were disappointed."

javier muñoz escribano

"The market is very nice inside, as are the shops and products, but the outside isn't pretty. The building used to be sober but elegant, creating a harmonious overall feel with the surrounding homes. Since its renovation, it has taken on an intrusive appearance, with a sort of rough, rectangular periscope-shaped head that juts out at the pedestrian. The materials and colors used clash with the rest of the buildings on the surrounding streets, and the overall shape resembles an abstract shoebox, soulless and copy-pasted from the "current" style, with no interest in blending into its surroundings. A shame for us tourists who visit this beautiful city."
